Floral Design Basics: Bring the Outside In!

The MSHS Judging & Exhibiting Committee will present floral design basics in this fun drop-in style workshop. This workshop will offer a brief history of floral design and basic concepts of harmony, rhythm, balance, and proportions. We’ll show that you don’t need to know all of the rules and principles of design to produce striking floral arrangements, nor do we need to spend a fortune on expensive cut flowers. Instead, we will show you how to use common plants growing in our yards and neighborhoods, talk about seasonal availability, and briefly discuss planning a cutting garden with plants that will bloom all season long.
