Take a tour of the Ramsey County Courthouse and Saint Paul City Hall.

Public Tours (no reservations needed) are available most Mondays at 12:15 pm and last about an hour.
Tours meet at the base of the Vision of Peace statue on the ground floor.

Law Day 2018 – May 3

Courthouse Tours has partnered up with the Courts to offer 3 special public tours on Thursday, May 3rd, 2018 to promote Law Day. These public tours will have a special judge speaker! The purpose of these tours is to make judges and legal resources (such as the law library) more accessible to the public.

The Law Day 2018 theme this year is: Separation of Powers

In honor of Law Day 2018, Courthouse Tours is offering three special Law Day tours on Thursday, May 3rd. Free & open to the public.

Tours are at 10:00-11:00, 12:00-1:00, and 2:00-3:00.

All tours meet at the base of the Vision of Peace Statue on the ground level of the Ramsey County Courthouse. Visitors will tour the historic Art Deco Courthouse and will have a chance to meet judge(s) on each one of these extra special tours.

The Saint Paul City Hall and Ramsey County Courthouse is a 21-story Art Deco skyscraper which opened to the public in 1932. The building serves as the main location for Minnesota’s Second Judicial Court and City Hall, and also contains the The Vision of Peace, the world’s largest carved onyx statue. The building has 23 kinds of woods from 18 countries and various marbles throughout.

Tours include the Vision of Peace Statue, Memorial Hall, Council Chambers, Mayor’s Office, Law Library, Historic Courtroom, period furniture, Art Deco architectural features, and more.

Please note that this is a working building; not all rooms are available to tour at all times.
