“A Gentle, Kind Spirit Whose Life Was Art”
Jean Sanborn Gross: Artist, Painter, and Printmaker
Landmark Center,
75 W 5th St, Saint Paul, MN 55102
St. Paul was the home of Jean Sanborn Gross, an artist, painter, and printmaker for almost her entire life. Because of the city’s influence and her love of the outdoors, her work as an artist reflects St. Paul and its rural surroundings. In the 1930s and 1940s when Jean Sanborn Gross produced much of her public artwork, she was a student at the Saint Paul Gallery and School of Art where she studied with, Cameron Booth and Lowell Bobleter.
