How do I find Landmark Center?

The Ramsey County Historical Society Research Center makes available non-circulating Research Collections documenting the history of Ramsey County and St. Paul. The Research Center contains books, periodicals, city directories, maps, photographs, personal papers, business and organization records, architectural information and materials on clubs, schools, and churches. The Ramsey County Historical Society Research Center and Archive is located in downtown St. Paul's Landmark Center, a restored Federal Courts building on the National Register of Historic Places.

 Visitors and Researchers Please Note:
The Ramsey County Historical Society does not hold any Birth, Death or Marriage records. They are held within the St. Paul & Ramsey County Department of Public Health. The Birth, Death or Marriage records are from 1870 to present (approx.) There is a cost involved in retrieving these records. For more information on the county's Birth & Death records call 651-266-1333.

The Ramsey County Historical Society’s collection does not contain census records or naturalization records. These items can be found at the Minnesota Historical Society’s Library at 345 Kellogg Blvd. West in St. Paul. Digital Print Collection

RCHS began digitizing its photographic print collection last fall.  The photographs were digitized and cataloged into our collections management software, Past Perfect. We anticipate making the photographs available online later this year. Thanks to the State Historical Records Advisory Board for funding to get the project underway in 2013.
