Preserving Your Family's Story

The Ramsey County Historical Society has launched a  program to help you preserve your story or your family's story in print. Assisting you will be an individualized process. It can be as simple as helping you find the right format for a manuscript you have written already, or as fundamental as researching, interviewing, writing, editing, finding a designer, and working with the printer. The society's editorial board, with its years of experience and expertise, will have oversight of each project, tailored to the needs and goals of each client.

Your memoir could include recording your own experiences in life, the history of your business, the story of a family member, or a legacy of values you want to leave to your family and descendants. The project reflects the mission of the society to preserve the heritage of our community. In this age of electronic marvels, the printed page is still the most permanent form for preserving the stories and the records of those who came before us and contributed to the history of the community we share. Our fee will be based entirely on how much or how little help you feel you need. For more information, contact Priscilla Farnham at (651) 222-0701.
