VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

We are always in need of volunteers, and have a variety of opportunities available. We have two convenient locations and offer flexible hours and time commitments. Volunteers receive our bi-annual newsletter, our award winning quarterly magazine, and free admission to the Gibbs Museum of Pioneer and Dakotah Life, not too mention a great learning experience. Here are a few of the volunteer opportunities available: At our Landmark Center location: Collections Department Volunteer Opportunities The Ramsey County Historical Society archives, located in the Society’s main office in Landmark Center, contains the records of St. Paul and Ramsey County events, businesses, organizations, and structures. Inventory and process St. Paul Building Permit Collection.

At our Gibbs Museum of Pioneer and Dakotah Life: The museum, open to the public May through Labor Day, compares the lives of 19th century Minnesota pioneers with those of the Dakota, who lived in Minnesota before the arrival of Europeans. The Gibbs Museum is located at Larpenteur and Cleveland Avenues in Falcon Heights. Museum open for special events and group reservations May - October and December dates for Holiday programming.
