The
Gibbs Museum of Pioneer and Dakotah Life offers tours of
both the traditional life of the Dakotah and their
Euro-American neighbor as well as outreach programs to
local schools.

presentation your students are given background
information on: Traditional dwellings Types of tools used Native foods How the Louisiana Purchase, fur trade and other settlement of the region affected the life of the original people of Minnesota. |

Objects in the
presentation include: Replicas of clothing, Fire-making tools, Bone sewing kits, Furs, Decorated rawhide containers and more. |
