The Gibbs Museum of Pioneer and Dakota Life is a historic museum interpreting the real life relationship of the Gibbs family and Cloud Man’s band of Dakota living in the mid 1800’s. Costumed interpreters tell the Gibbs Family story from Jane (DeBow) Gibbs early childhood among the Dakota Indians to the market garden farm of 1900.

The Gibbs Museum  is a popular destination for school groups and summer visitors.  In addition to field trips the Gibbs Museum also offers a home school program, outreach programs and off site demonstrations.

Hours of Operation:
The Gibbs Museum is open to the public Tuesday though Sunday, Noon to 4pm.
Group tours are available by reservation.
After hour events may be scheduled with the site management staff.
